ENHANCING CRANE SAFETY & JUSTIFYING COST

Ron Holmes of CAMotion Cranes will be discussing case studies of crane control in which the technology made enhancing crane safety not only desirable, but economically justifiable.

SPECIALIZED COLLISION PROTECTION FOR STACKER CRANES

Dr. Khalid Sorensen of CAMotion Cranes will be discussing a specialized collision protection system for rigid-masted stacker cranes. These cranes are critical components facilitating the throughput of product in the primary metals industry. Collisions between stacker cranes and coils, storage racks, and other cranes are frequent and significantly detrimental, resulting in operator injury, product loss, crane down time, and costly repair. The specialized technology provides sophisticated 3-dimensional collision prevention, while also facilitating simplified ingress/egress access to storage racks.
